Rosedale Bridge Improv

Yes, this is downtown Toronto! With a rich network of forested valleys and ravines, you certainly don’t have to go far to enjoy the wonderful autumn colours!

So Happy Thanksgiving from Urban Flute, and thank you for your ongoing interest and support. A wealth of images and sound files – a veritable cornucopia – await posting on the site. Check back soon for glimpses of Massachusetts, Vermont and upstate New York, including recordings from a covered bridge near Brattleboro, the phenomenal Christian Science buildings in downtown Boston, as well as the sounds of Fenway Park.

Also watch for upcoming performance details, in collaboration with:

  • Evergreen Brick Works (Saturday, October 13th, 8-10a.m. /Farmers Market)
  • FoodShare (Saturday, October 20th, 11a.m.-3p.m. / Official Opening, 90 Croatia Street, in collaboration with RCM Students & Faculty)
  • and the Rosedale United Church (early December thru mid-January / Photo Exhibition with CD Launch, Recital & Musical Guests)

I hope to see you at any (or all!) of these events, as these organizations are all worthy of your interest and support! And thanks for spreading the word about Urban Flute: I have been receiving e-mails from all corners of Canada and the U.S., as well as feedback from numerous European countries, including some correspondance from Russia.

…I’ve got a few ideas for what I might record while visiting Reykjavik, Iceland in early November, including a flute rendition of Lennon’s Imagine at the Imagine Peace Tower, scheduled to be unveiled October 9th by Yoko Ono; however I am open to any ideas you might have; please feel free to pass on any suggestions or comments simply by hitting ‘reply’ at the bottom of any post.
