Fiddle n’ Flute, Trad
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
Last Sunday night at Dora Keogh just before the musicians parted for the evening, the fiddle player visiting from Vermont launched into one last number and was joined by a second fiddler as well a flute player playing her tin whistle. The Celtic music scene here in Toronto is vibrant and alive – whether it’s a Wednesday night at Malone’s on Bay Street, or a visit to Dora’s here on a Sunday, there are at least a dozen pubs and dance halls around town that don’t just go green for a day: Toronto is green 52 weeks of the year, just a little more green than usual on March 17th!
Note: Tattoo courtesy of the guy working the door at the Cadillac Lounge out in Parkdale last Saturday…uh, long story!?- J
