Thanks for your comment, and glad that I could purge that last bit of saccharine (sp?) sentimentality from the holidays...hey, it&#039;s mid-January already! 
This was definitely a magical place, and maybe all the more so after the fact...I remember it was really raw and cold that day as we all hustled back to the warmth of the bus.
That Icelandic wind can really prvade the psyche during a day long tour of the geysers and waterfalls, etc
Or maybe what got in the way of fully appreciating the grandeur of the place was that we were a little preoccupied at the prospect of facing some local Vikings on the [hockey] ice later that evening!?
