hi bruce, thanks for the feedback and I meant to reply...the sound quality that I get on my edirol recorder is astounding...this is a roland product that is being extremely well recieved. every few weeks I bump into someone who gets a glimpse of my compact, hand-held recorder and remarks that they either own one, or know somone who's got one.
"Rave reviews all around, and in a pinch you can pretend its a cell phone when you are recording sounds on the street!
...highly recomended, and the price is coming down...approx $350 on e-bay last I heard, although Bay-Bloor here in Toronto offers the best comprehensive package and support in my estimation.

Good stuff there, James. The sound quality is surprisingly good (what are you recording with?), and the performance not bad either ;-). Check out my phanfare albums when you get a chance- I put some of the Kalais music to a few of the slideshows.
