Riverport Meditation
riverport-melody-2Riverport Meditation
Late in the summer, I had a wonderful trip to the east coast, where I collaborated with musical friends in a fundraising concert. Soundfiles and more about the concert in coming posts!
On my last morning in Riverport, 20 minutes south of historic Lunenburg, I took a short walk away from the house by the ocean where I had been staying. I was determined to do a short improvisation on my First Nations flute, in part as a way to decompress after our successful event.
The ambience of this wooded area was magical, especially with shafts of early-morning sun piercing across the forest floor. A gentle breeze sighed through the treetops, and birds seemed drawn to the sound of the flute being played in its natural setting.
